I worked with Rick for a number of years. He was a great boss, a wonderful colleague (he would use a comma now) and an amazing friend. His ability to find joy and humour in everyday was an inspiration. No one was ever as surgical with their words. His were constructive, positive and modest. His best words were kept for when speaking of his family; then they were proud, loving and inspired. On many occasions, I observed Rick turn a negative into a teachable moment. How he loved to teach. That immense laugh! for many years it filled the world. Let\'s all celebrate in its echo.

So sorry to hear of Rick\'s passing. He was one of the best. I worked with Rick at Treasury Board. RIP my friend. Joyce
