Janet and I met as teacher colleagues and became close friends for many years. Max was always the genial host, a down-to earth source of wisdom, with a great sense of humor. I admired his and Janet\'s work with the Rotary organization; and had happy times tag-teaming with Janet, selling draw tickets at the Winnipeg West Club\'s annual Chickenfest. The world has lost a couple of Very Good Citizens in the persons of Janet, and now Max. I hope that friends, family, neighbours and colleagues will have the comfort of many happy memories.
