Marlenes family will likely never have heard of me but in Jan. 1958 She was my first roommate at St. Boniface School of nursing and due to illness she was forced to leave . The short time we were together was very special. She was very quiet , shy , fun to be with. I only regret that we didn\'t have more time together to get better acquainted. Marjorie may remember me, she was ahead of us in training. Wish I could have known her in these later years as I see she shared my love of quilting and travel ! My condolences to the family , I am sure you will all miss her terribly. Sincerely Dale

To Bill, Kim and Diana My sincere sympathy. Marlene was a very special sister-in-law who helped me, Melissa, Shauna and Tim so very much and we are very appreciative of her kindness and making us so welcome. We had so much fun when Marlene visited us in Australia, such great memories. Marlene will forever hold a special place in our hearts. I wish I could be with you to offer comfort and support. Elaine

My dear wonderful, beautiful Auntie Marlene, I will miss your laugh, your beauty, your sense of human, your cooking and the way you drop tea pots! You are a very classy lady! I wasn\'t close to you growing up but I got to know you well in the last 30 years! You and Uncle Billy have always been there for me and for that I am very grateful! I will cherish all of our dinners, BBQs, and our little visits together! You are in God\'s hands now and it gives me comfort that he will look after you now! You and Uncle Billy have been great role models for Brant and myself on the subject of what is a good marriage, {the good and the bad} and by seeing the love between you two through the years. We can only pray our lives will be as good as yours has been! I love you! Please say Hi to the folks in heaven for me! My sisters and I will give a donation to the Firefighters Burn Fund as per your wishes.

I\'m so sorry to hear about Aunt Marlene passing. I have many fond memories of Marlene\'s kindness, laughter and ability to make one feel so comfortable and welcome in her beautiful home. As a child, I remember fun evenings around the dining table where us kids were included in the adult\'s lively card games. I cherish these memories and thank Marlene and her family for the love of family they always extended me. Uncle Bill, cousins Kim and Diana may you find solace in the many, many beautiful memories you must have of Marlene from having been able to spend your lives with her. I send much love and peaceful wishes for you in those memories. Sincerely, Tracy
