The notice of Marc’s passing was a real shock for me. I quite enjoyed working with Marc. He was always helpful, a good listener and eager to give advice or lending a hand. I could trust him all the way which is important in our profession. I consider myself fortunate I got to know him. Peter Renard, co-worker

Marc was my closest cousin. We were only half a year apart in age and spent our family holidays and vacations together. I adored him. He taught me how to make a campfire and we would spend hours taking apart whatever electronics we could get our hands on (though we were less skilled at putting them back together). We graduated in the same class from Silver Heights Collegiate and stayed close until I moved abroad in 2007. I wish we had kept more in contact over the past years and not just on Facebook and messenger. How often I think of you and how inseparable my childhood memories are from you. You mean so much to me and you always will. What I would give to go on a hike with you at Riding Mountain again. Love, Jenn
