I was a volunteer at the WHS with Lawrence. Though I only knew him there, his kindness and decency were evident. My condolences to Lesley and the family.

I was deeply saddened by the news of Lawrence's passing. I was hired by Lawrence when I was 18. My mind races through all the good( and funny) times together. I learned a lot from him during my 25 years at Land Acquisition. There are no words to express how wonderful Lawrence was. He often said to me that it was great that we 'grew up together'. He was right. I cherish my memories of Lawrence. I was elated when he married Lesley-the best thing that happened to him!

Lawrence hired me at 19 years old with Land Acquisition in 1977. He was a great manager, worked with him for 14 years. He will be deeply missed. My condolences go out to his wife and my friend Lesley and daughter and family.

Hi Leslie, it was great to have known Lawrence. I could not make it yesterday for the memorial service. He was a great person and meant so much to you. Judi

I'm saddened to hear of Lawrence's passing. He was a true gentleman and a fine example for all of us. I feel privileged to have known and worked with with him for 5 of his 45 years at Land Acquisition. He was a special person who will be remembered fondly by many. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

A wonderful person and gave me a chance at my first full time job. Lots of great memories with him and the people in the office.

Canada lost a famous person on March 6 by the name of Stompin Tom Connors, well we also lost another great person on this day as well by the name of Lawrence Mayer. This is truly a sad time for many people that have crossed paths with Lawrence. He was truly a fine gentleman in every sense of the word. He never found fault in anyone. When I worked with him several years ago, come Friday afternoon at 4:00, he'd be putting on his coat, and he would always look back at the secretarial pool and say 'be good girls' with his little grin. He will be remembered by all.
