As I watched the Celebration of the life of John Evans it brought back many memories of the time that Herkie and Anna spent living in Moncton. I had the good fortune to play many golf rounds with Herkie and my Dad with my desire to win a few quarters of Herkie. Yes I could hit the ball farther off the tee then both my Dad and Herkie but at the end of the round it was usually me that was paying out the quarters. My sincere condolences to my Aunt Anna and family. Rest In Peace Herkie. Sending loving thoughts Darren and family.

So sorry to see this news today in the Winnipeg Free Press. My sincere condolences Anna and family. Remembering fondly Mr. Evans from our days working on Edmonton Street. I always appreciated our staying in touch over the past 50 years until regrettably l lost your address two or so years ago when you moved. John was a kind and caring employer who so loved his family and friends. Rest In Peace Mr. Evans. Sending loving thoughts.
