Dear Cheryl , so sorry to hear of Gerry\'s death . I remember his special kindness in showing Lynne and myself around the trail park that you were staying at in Arizona. He was so enthusiastic about the place and he had a lot of fun taking us around. He seemed very proud of the place. We are so sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words, hugs, beautiful cards, gifts of food and wine, flowers and plants. For those who attended the come and go open house, it was so special to see you, even if I only had a few brief minutes to spend with you. The turnout of over a hundred was amazing! A special thank you to family and friends who helped in numerous ways to make that happen - I could not have done it without you. Being the Gerry I loved, I know he had no idea of how highly regarded he was. You have all helped me to face the difficult times ahead as I adjust to this new life without Gerry.

I will treasure his soup recipes and the great time Dave and I had at Clear Lake. I was so glad I got to see him recently -he was still so gentle and easy going despite being so ill. Anyone who has had a family member with a long illness knows it takes time, rest and recovery to appreciate the great memories as the challenging times become more distant memories. Cheryl, you know you have lots of friends to support you.

Gerry I can’t believe you are gone. I am sure you are up in heaven with your brother, mom and dad looking down on us. You were the most amazing brother-in-law/uncle anybody could ask for. You were my rock when Kerry passed away. You helped us in so many ways to get our life’s back on track. For this I am forever grateful to you and Cheryl. We will cherish our memories of you and your infectious smile and laugh. So many good times I can’t even list them. May you Rest In Peace. All my love to you Cheryl I am so sorry for your loss. Hugs Love Rhonda, Kelly & Danielle Laferriere

Remembering Uncle Gerry when he was at his best- around a campfire, at a Moulson reunion, relaxing in his armchair or telling stories. We\'ll miss you Gerry. Sending big hugs to you Cheryl. Wish we could be there. Much luv from Doug, Lee-Anne, Liam and Jeremy

For quite a few years Gerry did his best to teach me to hunt deer in our retirement home of Nopiming Park. The fact we were unsuccessful was likely more due to our locale and my inexperience as it was to Gerry\'s skills. He told me numerous stories of his success hunting with his cousins in the Ste. Lazare area. However what we failed to do outdoors in the boreal forest of Nopiming Park, we more then made up for with our canasta skills against Cheryl and Linda. Winning more games then our fair share, and still coming home from a day hunting to dinner being prepared for us was evidence of our being world class yet humble winners! Gerry we will miss you always, and think of you every fall, and every reunion.
