Eileen was a wonderful grandmother. Her kindness, cooking, baking and singing were delightful. I miss her very much.

Many, many happy memories whether at your home, lake or travelling. You put up a courageous and lengthy battle against an uncontrollable disease. Rest in Peace.

Many memories of Lake Nora, the visits between Mom & Dad and Eileen and Bob; the laughter and the good times. 'Uncle Bob', my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Thinking of you fondly especially at this time.

Hi Val, you were my first 'Canadian' friend many years ago. I was so sorry to read about your Mom's passing. The words in her obituary are so true...she was a great cook and was my first introduction to North American food. She always made me feel very welcome whenever we 'hung out' at your place. Please pass on my condolences to your family as well. Jenny Morris (Layne)

It was with great sorrow that I read of Mrs Ireland's death. My parents were Peggy and Mervin Swayze and they counted the Irelands among their closest friends. Some of the best memories I have of my Mom is when she would tell stories about her trips with Eileen. It seemed something always happened that would send them into gales of laughter even many many years later. Thinking back it seems it always involved upset stomachs and bathrooms.I remember our trips to Lake Nora and staying in the original cabin that 'Uncle Bob' and Dad leased for many years before my Father became too ill to travel. Please accept my sincere condolences and know that Eileen's life had a positive effect on so many.Regards Joan Swayze
