I was thinking about Dawne the other day as I drove by her place. I got to know her through her engagement with the Celiac Community. She attended a number of dinners that were organized throughout the city. I picked her up a few times to drive to those events together. She was a lovely person with a wonderful spirit. I am glad I got to meet her and spend the time I did with her. My sympathy to her family, which she spoke of often in our trips across town for Gluten free dinners.

I have known Dawne for almost 60 years and am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was so brave and determined as she faced her health challenges. I joined her several times in Las Vegas and we always had fun and enjoyed one another’s company’. My condolences to all the family.

Glennis and Fraser, I knew your mom and dad since University. In fact I was at the freshman dance where they first met. What a wonderful couple, always kind and hospitable and cheerful no matter what. I am so sorry for your loss if your wonderful mother, but know how much joy you and your children brought to her life.
