Our sincere condolences to Marlene and the whole family. I assisted Guy with many Serra Club banquets over the years and always enjoyed his conversations and advice. A true gentleman and a joy to be with. I will miss the most interesting conversations that we had. He can now guide me from above. Rest in Peace, Guy.

To Marlene & Family Members, My deepest sympathy in the loss of Guy. I worked for Coughlin Insurance in years past and it was my great pleasure and honor to have worked with Guy and the Coughlin family. He was a wealth of information and I had the utmost respect for him. I will remember Guy as a great boss and a respected fellow insurance colleague. May he rest in peace. Doris Smith

I want to extend my deepest condolences to all of Guy’s family. Ron had the greatest respect for Guy and I was so privileged to meet him when I married Ron. I always enjoyed visits to the Coughlin Agency and spending time chatting with Guy and Marlene catching up on all their news. Guy was truly a very fine gentleman. He will be deeply missed.

We are so saddened by the loss of Guy Coughlin. He was such a fine man, a true christian, a prince in any room he entered. We have so many fond memories of family parties, reunions, wedding celebrations and many other events where the Burns and Coughlin clan marked milestones and celebrated family members. Uncle Guy had a kind word for everyone, welcomed newcomers to the family and was always the first one to start dancing. It is so nice to see his many attributes live on in his children and grandchildren. Our lives are much richer having such a wonderful uncle and guiding light. We hope the Coughlin family can find comfort during this difficult time. Nora, Jim, Maddy and Jack Cristall

Please let me extend my sincerest condolences to Marlene, Bob, Donna, Brian, Ken, their spouses plus the generations that make up the (Irish) Coughlin Clan. Like many other friends & families, my late parents & I had much admiration and respect for Guy – both personally (as a family patriarch) and professionally (for the Coughlin Insurance business he founded). In addition, there were many great fun-filled memories I could draw on – from the erstwhile boys’ Canmore, Alberta golf-trips to the myriad family gatherings over the years. Looking back at the pictures, its hard not to get wistful for a simpler time. My last conversation with Guy was absolutely heartwarming. As fate would have it, I happened across him during a call (to Bob) only a couple of weeks before he ascended to heaven. Right from the start, I felt fortunate as it was like I was being warmly welcomed into a tender visit/car-ride between a loving father and a doting son. Guy’s folksy demeanor and upbeat attitude were unmistakably prevalent and still unfaded. And now – upon learning of his tragic diagnosis, followed soon thereafter by the sad news of his passing – those last few minutes I had talking with him over the phone are even more dear to me. Again, my condolences to the Coughlin family for the loss of a good and honest man. Yet the angels are rejoicing! All the love in the world, Yogi ♥

The Brock family is going to miss Mr. Coughlin terribly. Mr. Coughlin had a moral compass like no other. Full of compassion for all; always ready to lend a helping hand; to know him was to love him. As everyone knows due to COVID restrictions, we are to social distance in every public setting ... Mr. Coughlin sat right beside me at Mass saying \"we are family so it\'s okay\". I cherish that memory! Thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Coughlin and the entire family.

Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your father. Your father was a very kind man to myself and my family . He made sure my father understood everything before he signed any of his insurance documents. Mr. Coughlin had a great deal of integrity and will be missed by many. Thinking of you all .
