Doreen was an exceptional friend to my parents - Merle & Bill O\'Shaughnessy. All were longtime members of Kildonan United\'s couples club. Doreen and Merle remained lifelong friends even after moving away from West Kildonan. They shared happy times together when Mom visited Winnipeg and Clear Lake. My sympathies go out to her sister and family. Doreen was a beautiful person. sharon o\'shaughnessy

My sympathy to all the members of Doreen\'s family and friends. When I was growing up in West Kildonan, Doreen and Jim lived \"in the big house\" across the street from us and were good friends of the family. My grandmother (also on Leila) was also a friend of both Doreen\'s and Jim\'s mothers, Mrs. Jenkinson and Mrs. McKay, all of whom I remember fondly. Doreen was also my Explorer leader at Kildonan United. She was always kind and friendly and of great service to the community.
